Welcome to Pioneer Australian Cattle Dogs

We started breeding, showing and handling Doberman Pinschers for many years in the 70's under the kennel name of Lormar. It was not until 1999 when our daughter Jennie brought home a "Blue Heeler" pup she named Roper that we learned how much we loved this breed and how well they fit into our lifestyle on the ranch. Although Ropers life ended abruptly, he left an everlasting impression on our family.

We have recently moved back to our home town of Petaluma after living in the beautiful Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon for the past 7 years. Prior to moving to Rogue River, we lived on our 100-acre ranch just outside of Petaluma, where we raised our own sheep, cattle and horses.

When breeding our dogs we follow the Australian Cattle Dog Code of Ethics. Our puppies are all health tested, PRA and BAER tested. We are also proud members of the Australian Cattle Dog Club Of America and the Cascade Australian Cattle Dog Club of Oregon. All of our dogs here at PIONEER have been Owner/Breeder/Handled.
