Welcome to Pioneer Australian Cattle Dogs

We started breeding, showing and handling Doberman Pinschers for many years in the 70's under the kennel name of Lormar. It was not until 1999 when our daughter Jennie brought home a "Blue Heeler" pup she named Roper that we learned how much we loved this breed and how well they fit into our lifestyle on the ranch. Although Ropers life ended abruptly, he left an everlasting impression on our family.

We live in the beautiful Rogue River area of southern Oregon on a small farm just off I-5. We purchased our first AKC registered Australian Cattle Dog, Weeping Willows Blue Kadaroo, aka "Kada" in 2001 and competed with Kada in conformation, herding and obedience events where she earned her AKC championship title, PT title in herding and a Canine Good Citizen award. Kada is the foundation to our very successful breeding program today.

When breeding our dogs we follow the Australian Cattle Dog Code of Ethics. Our puppies are all health tested, PRA and BAER tested. We are also proud members of the Australian Cattle Dog Club Of America and the Cascade Australian Cattle Dog Club of Oregon. All of our dogs here at PIONEER have been Owner/Breeder/Handled.
